| This is the
best job I've had in my life! I was a salesman for eight years and wanted
something with a bit more substance, so I got into counselling and now I
work for Sheffield Care at Home Service.
I spend about 20 hours a week with Ian and Friday is always our evening at the Red Tape recording studio - about 20 of us might be down there at any one time, and Ian plays drums while I play guitar. I really enjoy my work because it's all about working one-to-one with people and enabling them to live in their own homes. It's about making absolutely sure that, as in the case of Ian, disabled people are making the choice about what they want to do. We go bowling, we go out and about al over the place, but our sessions in the recording studio are definitely what he enjoys the most! When he's behind a drum kit he's got no inhibitions! |
